Privacy Policy

The short version

The pilot app has no accounts. We hold no name, no email, no password, and no profile for you — there is nothing to breach and nothing to sell. Your activity data stays on your phone.

The app (EcoCredit pilot)

Motion & Health data. With your permission, the app reads steps, walking and cycling distance, and workouts from Apple HealthKit to verify energy-saving actions. This data is read-only, is processed entirely on your device, and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. We never write to Health. Health data is never used for advertising, and is not shared with any third party.

Location. The app does not request location permission. It cannot see where you are — only that motion occurred.

What lives on your phone. Your credits, streaks, team code, and settings are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. If you choose to export your data (a built-in option) or share your month-end card, you decide who receives it — the card contains no name or location by default.

What we publish. Team and city numbers shown in the app come from a shared campaign file we maintain, and during the pilot are aggregate estimates prepared by our team — never derived from tracking individuals.

This website

Forms you choose to submit (contact, newsletter) send exactly the fields you typed, plus the page you sent them from, to our self-hosted backend. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else. The site sets no advertising trackers.

Changes and contact

If a future version of the app adds accounts or sync, this policy will change before that version ships, and the app will say so in plain language. Questions or deletion requests: hello@energystud.io.
